Featured Session: Winning When the Going Gets Tough with Danny White

Danny White was born February 9, 1952, in Mesa, Arizona and is a former quarterback for the Dallas Cowboys, a football coach in the Arena Football League and also occasionally appears as an analyst on broadcasts of college football games. In his 15 year career, White had 1,761 completions on 2,950 attempts for 21,959 yards, 155 touchdowns, and 132 interceptions. He also gained 482 yards and scored 8 touchdowns rushing.

Danny was named athlete of the century in Arizona in the year 2000 by the Arizona Republic, posted the 2nd highest rated College QB of all time according to Sports Illustrated and threw the most TD passes in Texas Stadium. When he retired White had broken numerous Cowboys records including most four touchdown pass games in Cowboys History, most yards and TD's passing in a season. He was also elected to four Hall of Fames: Arizona Sports, Arizona State, College Football and Arena Football.

"I don't think anybody could have followed Roger and done as well as Danny," Coach Landry remarked. "Danny was a solid winner. He was as fine a winner as we have had in football."

Featured Session: Looking for Ways to Win

Challenge & change are the circumstances in which leadership is most needed—and most difficult. Challenge & change are also the crucibles in which dynamic leaders are forged.

During these times of economic uncertainty, regulatory mania and media frenzy many financial institutions are just hoping to survive. Others are looking for ways to win. A key difference between these two organizational approaches to challenge & change is the quality of their leadership.

As a former Marine rifle company commander, Jim Bearden understands the impact adversity can have on morale and performance. In the ultimate military “classroom”, combat, Jim learned first-hand how leadership behavior either compounds or mitigates that impact.

In this powerful keynote presentation, Jim will provide practical insights on the things leaders can DO to:

  • Model emotional accountability as a compelling alternative to professional victimhood
  • Transcend the differences that characterize a multi-generational workforce
  • Expand & enhance employee engagement

Using plenty of humor and his experiences as a decorated Marine officer, corporate vice president, published author and owner of his own successful training and consulting business, Jim will offer his unique perspective on how the things you and members of your leadership team DO determine whether your bank is hoping to survive or Looking for Ways to Win Regardless of the Hands You’re Dealt.
