One of the most important functions for an effective trade association is effective advocacy on behalf of its members. In the federal arena, IBAT has worked hard to develop key contacts among Congress, the executive branch and key regulatory agencies. In addition to proactive legislative initiatives, we frequently interact with legislators from Texas and across the country to impact pending legislation that impacts your bank and your bottom line. Additionally, we are pleased to have excellent relationships with the various regulatory authorities at both the national and district level, and have frequent contacts with these individuals on issues impacting community banking.
